LaFAYETTE Brenda Sue Collins Ballard, 68, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014. Preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Doyle Ballard; parents, Daniel M. Collins and Annie Laura Collins; brothers, Lester Collins, Harold Collins and William Collins. Survived by daughters, Tammy Hix and Sandy Jones; and son, Tommy Ballard, all LaFayette; sisters, Frances Benson, of Adairsville, Ga., Louise Chastain, and Janell Ervin, both of LaFayette; brother, Johnny Collins, of LaFayette; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 1 p.m. Saturday. Rev. Tim Dennison officiating. Interment in McIntyre Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-9 p.m. today.
