John Wooten

John Ross Wooten, 74, passed away Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Chickamauga, Ga., area, he was a former employee of North Georgia Electric Membership Corporation where he worked for 18 years, Southern Wholesales for 10 years, T&T Produce for three years and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Clyde and Sarah Kathleen Lindsey Wooten. John is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Susan Hulsey, of Chickamauga, Ga., Donna and Michael Spade, of Harrison; son, Chris Wooten, of Chickamauga; two sisters, Betty (Harold) Parrish, of Fort Oglethorpe, and Jean (Wayne) Autry, of Rock Spring, Ga.; brother, Jackie (Pearl) Wooten, of Summerville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Richie Whitmore and Joseph Whitmore; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wilton Grimes and Brother Chris officiating.
