David Twombly

David Twombly, 47, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. A native of Tacoma Park, MD, he has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 43 years. He was employed as an RN in the Emergency Room at Memorial Hospital and was a veteran and Captain of the Army Reserve National Guard where he served in Desert Storm. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; aunt, Helen Oliver and an uncle, Clarence Twombly. Survivors include his wife, Tiger Shea Twombly; son Eli Twombly; mother Margaret Twombly, father and step-mother, Bill and Sandra Twombly; two brothers Ray Peet and Ken Twombly; sister, Kari Wilson. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 15, in the Collegedale Community Seventh-day Adventist Church with pastor Don Maclafferty officiating. The family ask donations be made to a trust fund that has been established for Eli Twombly at Regions Bank. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
