Mary Swafford

Mary Margaret Swafford, 77, of Chattanooga, passed away at the Life Care Center of Red Bank on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014 Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked for Red Bank Middle School in the Cafeteria until she retired . she was of the Baptist faith Mary is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Ruby Jewell; son Allen Swafford Mary is survived by her husband Bill Swafford; children Tammy (Alvin) Cooper, Diane ( Gary) Mahaffey, Melissa ( James) Richey , Rev. Bobby ( Sheri) Swafford and Gary Swafford ; sisters Emma Freeman , Shirley Skiles, Peggy Beard; brother Stanley Cronon; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. today at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Wayland Stewart officiating. Interment to follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
