Richard Ball

Minister Richard Walter "Buddy" Ball, 83, died on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 after an extended illness. He was born, lived and died in Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by many relatives and friends but his focus was on the departed Savior, Jesus Christ who would receive him into eternity. He left to continue his legacy two sons, Carlos and Kevin Ball; three daughters, Mary Sims, Valerie Lattimore and Patricia Ball; sister, Daisy Henson, brother, Minister Noah Frank Ball; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends. Memorial gifts can be made to Bethel Bible Village. Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home. Interment, Lakewood Memory Garden on Shallowford Road. The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
