Hazel Keith

Hazel Cordelia Keith, 78, went to be with the Lord Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at her home. She was born in Ider, Ala., to the late George and Minnie Chapman and was a member of Peach Orchard Baptist Church in Rossville. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roland "Shorty" Keith; five sisters; a brother; and a son-in-law, Clifton Middlebrooks. Survivors include her children, Lisa Middlebrooks, Ronnie Keith, both of Rossville, Peggy (Billy) Carr, of Cookeville, Tenn., Mike (Jen) Keith, of Fort Oglethorpe, Faye Goins, of Chickamauga; eight grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, in the chapel with Rev. James Davis, Rev. George Gates, and Rev. Sean Landes officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, all day Wednesday, and prior to the service Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
