Lillian Vance

Lillian Vance, 93, widow of Ray Vance, of Madisonville, passed away 12:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Sweetwater Hospital. Member of Hopewell Springs Baptist Church. Survivors, daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Gray Vance, Madisonville; grandson and spouse, Thomas and Kristy Vance, Sweetwater; great-grandchildren, Karli and Hallie Vance; sister, Evelyn Heath, Penny Conley, Shirley Payne, all of Spring City; special nephew and spouse, Norman and Betty Breeden; several other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by son, Roy Vance; parents, Patrick Thomas and Mary Jane Fugate McCabe; sisters, Helen Prescott and Patsy Jewel. Funeral 7 p.m. Wednesday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Chris Farmer officiating. Interment 11 a.m. Thursday, Hopewell Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hopewell Springs Cemetery Fund. Family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
