Benton Bilbrey Jr.

Benton Caldwell Bilbrey Jr., 63, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, Jan. 20, 2014. Mr. Bilbrey was born and raised in Chattanooga where he lived his entire life. He was a lifelong member of Tyner Church of Christ, a graduate of Tyner High School (68), served in the U.S. Army and was retired. He was also an accomplished artist in many mediums. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Benton Bilbrey Sr. Surviving are his wife, Kelly Bilbrey; son, Benton (Julie) Bilbrey III; grandson, Benton Bilbrey IV; granddaughter, Avalie Bilbrey; brothers, Gaither (Shirley) Bilbrey and Kenneth Bilbrey; nephew, Jeremy Bilbrey; and his special "four-legged son", Bandit. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Tyner Church of Christ (6620 Bonny Oaks Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421), followed by a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. with Ministers John and George Cupp officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked memorial donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 (woundedwarriorproject.org).
