Anne Bell

Anne Card Barrow Bell passed away at home in Gainesville, Fla., on Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, three days before her 99th birthday. She was born in Soddy-Daisy, the daughter of the late Warren Card and Maggie McAfee Card. In her youth she was the girls tennis champion of Tennessee. She enjoyed growing things and playing the piano. She was a talented artist and devised her own method of creating beautiful sculpted figures. She was predeceased by brothers, Leslie, George and Warren Card; and sisters, Lucille Card Cobb, Pearl Marie Card Kirtley and Marieta Card Dedmon. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Anne Barrow (husband, Michael P. Smith), of Chicago and her daughter, Marieta Barrow Heaton (husband Cherrill P. Heaton), of Gainesville, Fla.
