Bill Crowder

William F. "Bill" Crowder, 82, originally of Marietta, Ga., died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014. Born in Marietta, he was the son of the late William N. and Annie Mae Dunn Crowder. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He spent his career as an Industrial Hygiene Engineer in the Safety Division of Lockheed Aeronautics Division in Marietta. After retirement, Bill and his late wife, Sylvia, moved to Riverwood in Watts Bar Estates in Spring City, where they enjoyed many beautiful days together. After the loss of his wife, Bill later married Patricia "Patty" Tallent Crowder. Together with their families, Bill and Patty were blessed with happy days of fishing, family time, traveling and the love they shared. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia Poe Crowder. Bill leaves survivors, his wife Patty and three children, Susan Peeples, Kennesaw, Ga., Steve (Melanie) Crowder, Marietta, Ga., and John (Darcy) Crowder, Cartersville, Ga.; and Pattys children, Al (Janet) Tallent and son, Andrew and Barbara (Jonny) Tallent. Bills grandchildren are Josh Peeples, Wil (Brittani) Crowder and Brenna (Tim) Michaels. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014,at Spring City United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Wyrick officiating. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Spring City Cemetery. After the graveside service, the family will receive friends at the Family Life Center.
