Jesse Buffington

Jesse Dewayne Buffington, 69, passed away peacefully Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 surrounded by his wife and daughters. Jesse was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and friends. He was an active member of Trenton First Baptist Church. Jesse opened J.B.s Variety Store in October, 1998, which was his joy and passion. He loved the people that came through the doors - especially the kids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Mae Buffington; infant son, Dewayne Buffington; brothers, C. W. Buffington and Leon Buffington. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sue Morgan Buffington; three daughters, Barbie (Cory) Evans, Ala., Robyn Buffington, Trenton, Jessica (Brian) Geselbracht, Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Sidney, Sam, and Jesse; one nephew, Barry Buffington; and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at the Trenton First Baptist Church with brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be held 1-8 p.m. EST today at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home; noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Trenton First Baptist Church.
