Marilyn Madden

Marilyn R. Madden, 64, of Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at a local nursing facility. She was born Nov. 7, 1949 to Margaret and Greeley Madden Sr. She was a graduate of Howard High School class of 1967. She accepted Christ and was a member of New Beginning AME Zion Church, Rev. Horbert Branbson is pastor. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father and mother, Greeley Madden Sr. and Margaret S. Madden; four brothers, Charles E. Madden Sr., Marvin S. Madden Sr., Greeley Madden Jr. and Calvin H. Madden. She leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Raymond H. (Blondiva) Madden; two sisters, Patricia (John) Jones, Loretta D. (Daryl) Brewster; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for their services. Her Homegoing services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at New Beginning AME Zion Church with Pastor McDaniel Bowman as the eulogist. Interment in Highland Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today and the family will receive friends from 78 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
