Frances Gonia

Frances Headrick "Fran" Gonia, 85, of Miami, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014. She was born July 26, 1928 in Chattanooga, to William R. and Mattie M. Headrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, I.B. Gonia Jr. Fran is survived by her three siblings, Vernon Headrick and his wife, Susie; Judy Sanders and her husband, Jerry; Randy Headrick and his wife Danita. She is also survived by her three children, Lisa Gentry, of Atlanta, Lori Iglesias and her husband, Albert, of Miami, Fla., and Joe Gonia, of Lantana, Fla.; her grandchildren, Phillipe, Nicholas, Albert and Cody; and two great-grandchildren, Dameon and Zaida. "Aunt Fran" is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews. Fran loved nature, gardening, animals, and was an avid reader. Fran has requested no service be given. The family is requesting in celebration of Fran's life that donations be made to her favorite charity, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
