Kent Layne

Mr. Kent A. Layne, 77, passed away Saturday Jan. 25, 2014. He was a US Army veteran and a retired truck driver. He was born in Palmer, Tenn., on Sept. 2, 1936 to Joe C. and Hazel Morrison Layne who preceded him in death along with his brother, Joey Layne. He is survived by his wife, Doris Sanders Layne; sons, Darren (Tammy) Layne, of Hixson and Keith Layne, of Palmer; sister, Linda Layne; brother, Jerry (Jimmie) Layne, both of Florida; grandson, Jacob; granddaughter, Katrina; great granddaughter, Hadleigh; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday Jan. 28, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Willard Griffin officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.
