Carson Bowman

Carson Max Bowman, 62, of Ooltewah, passed away Friday, June 27, 2014, at his residence. A lifelong resident of Ooltewah, he was of the Baptist faith. He retired from Bowman upholstery, which he owned and operated for over 30 years. He was the son of the late Carl Bowman and Leona Gifford. He was preceded in death by a brother, Archie Lee Barnes. Survivors include by his wife of 39 years, Dolly Bowman; daughter, Kathy (Glenn) Walker, Ooltewah; two sons, Max (Laura) Bowman, Ringgold, Ga. and Ernie Tucker, Chattanooga; grandsons, Michel, Joshua, Joseph Jr.; granddaughters, Felisha, Alexandria, Courtney, Ashley and Mary; brothers, Arnold, Gene, Tim and Billy Bowman; sisters, Linda (Verlin) Bramlett, Rock Spring, Ga., Agnes Hewitt, Ooltewah, and Joyce Bowman, New Mexico; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Barnes, Harrison; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Maple Grove Baptist Church in Harrison, Tenn., with the Rev. Ronnie Dodson and Rev. Josh Duncan officiating. Friends will be received from noon-2 p.m at the church.
