Doris Chafi ROSSVILLE Doris F. Chafi, 63, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014. She was a former employee of Candlewick Yarn for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed spending time with her family and Kentucky basketball. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Winston Viars, and parents, Cecil and Helen Lawrence. Survivors include her husband, Adam Chafi; son, Kevin (Julie) Viars; stepdaughter, Gina Chafi; grandchildren, Savannah, Denis, Autumn and Stone Viars; sisters, Patty (Richard) Comer, Betty Joy (Joe) Geddes, Faith (Kevin) Gates, Grace (Jim) Armstrong, and Hope (Frankie) Wade; brother, Lee (Lucinda) Lawrence; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, July 2, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Lee Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at the Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the New Horizons for Children.org. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. on Tuesday and 9-11 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home.
