Gretta Baldwin

Gretta Decie Baldwin, 49, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2014, at a hospital in Nashville. Gretta was a graduate of Howard High School. She was employed as a CNA at Memorial Hospital for 24 years. Grettas enjoyed praising God and catering to her kids. She was very dedicated to the foster care program at Family Partnership. She was preceded in death by her father, Ivan Baldwin, and grandparents, D. G. and Sarah Rawls. Survivors include her life partner, Roderick Gilbert, Chattanooga; children, Shontell Orr, Chattanooga; Bridney Baldwin, Clarksville; Markeonna Sparks, Naurie Wilson, McKayla and Stacey Jackson-Baldwin; grandson, Kelsey Orr; mother, Decie Rawls Baldwin; siblings, Yolanda (Ryan) Brown and Antonio (Tarena) Baldwin. Funeral services will be held noon Thursday, July 3, at Olivet Baptist Church with Elder Clyde Robinson Eulogist and other ministers officiating. Interment: Forest Hills Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today, July 2, and the family will receive friends from 68 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.
