Montine Craig

Opal Montine Craig, 88, of East Ridge, died Monday, June 30, 2014. She was born Oct. 4, 1925, in Whitfield County, Ga., a daughter of the late Clyde Hayes and Sudie Capehart Hayes. Mrs. Craig was retired from TVA where she worked as a registered nurse. She was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church. Helping others was her calling. Survivors include her son, Robert Craig; brother, Lamar Hayes; sisters, Mary Whaley, Patsy (Joe) Taylor and Diana (Zeno) Bridges; grandchildren, Daniel Craig, Julia Ballard, Melody Doyle and Marshall Craig; great-granddaughter, Hannah Ballard. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. today, July 4, at Crosspath at East Ridge with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
