Clifford Hyde Sr.

Clifford Earl Hyde Sr., of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, July 4, 2014. He was born Feb. 17, 1931, in Dalton, Ga., to the late Luther Wade Hyde and Lucille Holder Hyde. He retired from Beasley Distributing Company with 35 years of service and enjoyed fishing. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Beatrice Hyde; daughter, Rhonda Hyde Russell; brother, Edward Hyde; and sister, Frances Presley. Survivors include his four children, Sandra Bass of Rossville; Dennis (Sandy) Freeman of Texas; Clifford Hyde Jr. of Chattanooga; and Alan W. (Val) Hyde of Harrison; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
