Stacey Ratcliff

Stacey Oliver Ratcliff, 67, of Birchwood, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. He was born on Oct. 20, 1946, to the late Thomas Louis and Karma Tence Ratcliff. He was a lifelong resident of Birchwood. Stacey worked as an HVAC technician and was also an electrician that was known to be able to fix almost anything. He also enjoyed cars and restoring them. In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by one son, Stacey Oliver Ratcliff Jr.; one sister, Mary Lou Matthews. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, one son, Mark A. Ratcliff of Birchwood; grandchildren, Cody Ratcliff, Heather Ratcliff and Kevin Ratcliff; newly born great-grandson, Zayden Ratcliff; and four other great-grandchildren; sisters Wanda and Kenneth Shannon of Ooltewah; Nova Prueitt of Harrison; Marlene and Lyn Davis of Harrison; one brother, Harlan (Linda) Ratcliff of Hixson. In addition to these, he leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today, July 6, at Companion Funeral & Cremation Service located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland TN, 37311, with Pastor Ed Cox and Pastor Sergio Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
