Mitch Fogtman

Mitchell Ray "Mitch" Fogtman, 55, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in his home. Mitch enjoyed life to the fullest and was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Beth and stepdaughter, Tara; his five children, David Mitchell, Christopher Michael (Shellie), Jessica Marie (Christopher) Sanchez, Garrison Dale and Amanda Lorraine Whitmore; his father, David Charles Fogtman I; brothers, James Maverick Garner and David (Christie) Fogtman II; sisters, Sansie Freeman, Leslie (Rick) Headrick, Jackie (Paulie) Rivera, Cheryl (Randy) Rice, Samantha Rodriguez; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Grant; stepfather, James Garner; and stepmother, Joann Fogtman. The family gathered at the home of his daughter, Jessica, on Thursday, July 3, for a celebration of his life. Mitch was a kind and giving person who continues to give even after death, donating his body to Life Legacy Foundation in Arizona for cancer research. Care and transportation of his donation were handled by Advantage Funeral Home Chattanooga.
