Callie Phillips

Callie Louise Taylor Phillips 94, died Sunday, July 6, 2014. She was born In Whitwell, Tenn., to the late Will and Nancy Taylor. Callie retired from Textile Printing in East Ridge. She later worked part-time marketing products at local retail markets. Callie was a devoted member of East Ridge Church of God. Part of her service to the lord was working the bus ministry with Saturday visitation and Sunday morning pick up. The children fondly referred to her as "Granny". Callie was proceeded in death by her son, James "Jimmy" Andrews; sisters, Hattie Green, Irene Shell, Marietta Taylor, Leona White; brothers, Clarence Taylor, Ernest Taylor, Gilbert Taylor, Clifford Taylor and Elmer Taylor. She is survived by her daughters, Helen (Jimmy) Worley, Doris (Bob) Manoes and Darlene (Duane) Holmes; grandkids, Dwayne "JD" (Cindy) Young, Tina Short, Roger (Melody) Young, Robby (Rochelle) Perkins, Lisa (Ricky) Holloway, Julie Andrews Stewart and Ethan Holmes; with 15 great-grands and 10 great-great-grands and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today and prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tennessee-Georgia Cemetery with Wendell Smith officiating. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
