Frank Massengale

James Frank Massengale, 73, of Hixson, passed away on Monday, July, 7, 2014, at Memorial of Hixson. Frank was an avid bowler. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a big Tennessee Volunteer Football fan. Frank loved gospel music but his greatest joy was going with his family to Destin, Fla. Frank retired from TVA Widows Creek. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Mae Massengale; brother, W.D. Massengale. Frank is survived by his wife, Phyllis Massengale; stepsons, Mike (Kim) Hixson and Tim Hixson; son, Frank Massengale Jr. and daughter, Kim (Steve) Schenk. Several grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sister, Mazie Massengale Hodge. The family will receive friends today, July, 10 from 11-1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. Funeral service for Frank will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, July 10, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Don Kelley officiating.
