Tracie Fugate

Tracie Lechelle Fugate, 44, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in Denver Colo. Tracie was the daughter of Ed and Bobbie Scoggins Fugate. She was preceded in death by her father, Ed; infant brother, Mark Dewayne and grandparents, Mell and Zoe Dunn Fugate and Warren and Emma Stover Scoggins. Tracie grew up in the Snow Hill, Harrison area, was a member of the 1988 graduating class of Central High School and a member of Greenwood Baptist Church since 1983. She graduated from UTC with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1993. She was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and had recently transferred to the Denver, Colo. facility. Tracie loved all animals and owned quite a collection of her own during her lifetime, several were very special, especially her cat Tigger and Meow Meow. She was fond of traveling and had several interesting trips with her mother as companion, including visits to all areas of the U.S., Hawaii and the Holy Land. She is survived by her mother Bobbie Fugate; Harrison; brother Tim (Pam) Fugate, Chattanooga; sister, Teresa Lynn (Joe) Hall, Port St. Joe, Fla., and several cousins. Also surviving is her special and best friend, Robyn Glazner, Huntsville, Ala. Funeral services will be held at noon Saturday at Greenwood Baptist Church on Snow Hill Road with Reverends Mark Arnold, Toby Brogden and Rick Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Scoggins Family Cemetery on Greenwood Road. Scotty Roark, Wayne Griffin, Glen Hughes, Bob Burns, Randy Richey and R.J. Hoffman will serve as pallbearers. The co-workers of the Shallowford Mailing Facility will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood Baptist Church.
