Verlon Robinson

Verlon Robinson, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2014. He retired after 40 years at Combustion Engineering, Chattanooga. He was a member of the Mountain View Church of God in Bryant. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Alpha Jean Pope Robinson; parents, William Jacob and Ella Mae Harris Robinson; two brothers, Grady and Bernard Robinson; three sisters, Jessie Bell, Ruby Farmer and Jewell Norris, all of Bryant. He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Daryl Robinson, Terry and Donna Gaddis Robinson, of Bryant; one grandson, Dustin Robinson; two granddaughters, Jamie Higdon and Jennifer Mays; four great-grandsons, Michael and Gabriel Robinson, Callie and Cutter Mays; three great-granddaughters, Kensie Mays, Jayla and Jenna Higdon; host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 11, 2014, at 2 p.m. EDT in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Burial in Straightway Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-9 p.m. EDT today; noon-2 p.m. Friday.
