e Jacquelyn Reid-Steele, of Chattanooga, departed this life on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at her residence. She was a member of Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Willie Mae Reid; grandson, Tyus R. Steele; nieces, Thaya Green and Angelelia Reel. She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Prandel K. Reid, and daughter, De-Sica Steele (Willie); grandchildren, De'Metria Steele (Eric), Prandell Haynes Prandel Reid Jr. and Raven; great-grandchildren; sister, Juanita Reel, of Chattanooga; brothers, Ernest Reed (Onetta) and Frederick I. Reid, both of California; her dear friends, Priscilla Hale, Agnes Langston, Connie Williamson and Marva Vance; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at New Zion Baptist Church, Pastor Robert Allen, Rev. Ronald Woods (eulogist) and Rev. Ronald Cook presiding. The body will lie in state from noon-5 p.m. Monday, July 14, at the Advantage Chapel. Family hour will be from 7-8 p.m. at Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
