Mabel Janow

Mabel D. "Mammy" Godsey Janow, 71, died Friday, July 11, 2014, at Erlanger Medical Center. A lifelong resident of this area, Mabel was the daughter of the late Rev. Allen and Ethel Robinson Godsey. She was a member of Eagle Furnace Baptist Church and attended Victory Baptist Church in Spring City. Mabel retired in 2009 from Spring City Care and Rehab Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Bobbie McCoy. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, George Janow of Spring City; sons, Ronnie (LaDonna) Janow of Dayton, Donnie (Amanda) Janow of Spring City; daughters, Linda (Charles) Fisher of Evensville and Tracy (B.J.) Boles of Grandview; sisters, Frances Weaver and Joyce Borne, both of Spring City; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, July 14, in the chapel of Vaughn Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Sherrill and Rev. Kyle Hinch officiating. Interment will follow in the Spring City Cemetery.
