Patty Price

Patty Coppinger Price, 46, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014. She had lived in the Chickamauga area for most of her life and was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from Rossville High School, Class of 86, and then attended Northwestern Technical College for more than three years. She was a member of the Chickamauga Recreation Association since 1993 and coached her girls and many others in softball until 2010. She was an amazing ballplayer, a loving and devoted wife, mother and sister who will be greatly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doyle and Billie Coppinger. Survivors include her loving husband of more than 26 years, Joey Price; daughters and son-in-law, Amy (Chris) Thomas and Maisy Price, all of Chickamauga; two sisters, Sandra Powell of Ringgold, and Donna Holbrook of Rossvill; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy (Carol) Coppinger of Chattanooga Valley; several nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 17, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother Tommy Brown and Brother S.B. Atkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
