Cora Skiles

Cora Lee Skiles 87, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Skiles; daughters, Emily Sanders and Rita Joyce Hood; sons, Donnie Plank and William "Putchie" Pickett. Survivors include her children, Wilma Kirby, Clarence Plank, Rosemary Smartt, Betty Jo Smith, Roger Dale Plank, Charles Pickett; brother, Aubry Dean Dye; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren nieces and nephews; and Coras partner-in-crime and great-granddaughter Ma'Kayla Kirby. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2014 in the Advantage Chapel with Dr. John Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park. Visitation will from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, July 16, 2014, at the funeral home. Cora's family extends a special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga's nurses, aides, and social workers for care and comfort that was extended to Ms. Cora and her family.
