Mary Sue Sherfey

Mary Sue Sherfey, 89, of Lakesite, Tenn., passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014. She was born Nov. 26, 1924, in Toone, Tenn., to the late Archie and Bertha Keller. Mary Sue met her late husband of 64 years Charlie Sherfey, at Fontana Dam during the construction in 1943. She was a wonderful wife, loving mother and grandmother to her family and friends and will be missed by them. She is survived by three children, Karen Elizabeth Sherfey (Jim Bilyeu), of Lakesite, Steven Keller (Sharman) Sherfey, of Chattanooga, and Cheryl Sherfey Simmons, of Lakesite. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Jason Sherfey, of Boston, Melissa (Rob) Bradham, Sarah Sherfey, Rebecca Sherfey, all of Chattanooga, Mark Simmons and Todd Simmons, of Memphis and Paul Simmons and Scott Simmons, of Lakesite, Annette Bilyeu, Tampa, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Caleb Bradham and Keller Bradham, of Chattanooga, and Cayce Bilyeu-Ferguson, Tampa, Fla.; brother, Albert Lloyd Keller, of Toone, Tenn.; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the North Chapel. A funeral service for Mary Sue will follow at 3 p.m. today at the North Chapel with Calvary Chapel Minister officiating.
