Shannon Cheatham

Shannon Cheatham, 15, went home to be with the Lord Thursday afternoon, July 17, 2014, surrounded by her family. The Lord lifted her soul up on wings of eagles to a home where she will run and never grow weary and never be faint. She was a very precious member of Mountain View Baptist Church of Benton. Shannon had a love of music and life. The most perfect daughter, sister and friend a person could every ask for. She will be greatly missed until we meet again. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Linda Dalton, and aunt, Shannon Dalton. She leaves behind her parents Keith and Frances Cheatham of Benton; her brothers, Tyler Dalton and Isaac Cheatham of Benton; grandparents, Dwight Dalton of Benton and Dewey and Doris Cheatham of Reliance; great-grandmother, Johnnie Wilcoxon of Reliance; uncle, Eric Dalton of Benton; and cousin, Emmitt Dalton of Benton; and other many loved extended family members. Pallbearers will be Kelsey Swafford, Bo Swafford, Mark Presswood, Barry Ballew, Michael Bonnett, Richard Bonnett and Eddie Bonnett. Honorary pallbearers are Scotty Morgan, Luke Cox and Emmitt Dalton. Services will be noon today, July 20, at Mountain View Baptist Church located at 1516 Mountain View Road in Benton, Tenn., with Pete Morgan officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church this morning from 10:30 until the noon service time.
