Cleta Main

Cleta Marie Main, 70, died peacefully Friday, July 18, 2014, surrounded by her family following a lengthly illness. She was a native of Buffalo, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Frances Strubel Miller. Cleta was a very loving and compassionate person, always putting the needs of others before hers. She was a gentle and kind soul who touched many lives. Cleta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Cleta was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Miller. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 50 years, Bob Main; son, Thomas A. Main (Laura), of Loveland, Ohio; daughter, Kelly Ann Johnson (Alan), of Streamwood, Ill.; grandchildren, Tara, Megan, Michael, Bridgit, Tommy and Jeffrey; brother, Barry Miller; sisters, Teresa Doan, Mary Fay, Marilyn Sacheli and Kathy Baldwin; several nieces and nephews. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to honor Cleta may be made to the UC Foundation, Bob and Cleta Main Endowed Scholarship for Physically Disabled Students, 615 McCallie Ave., Department 6806, Chattanooga, TN 37403; or to Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation, One Siskin Plaza, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
