Marie Murphy

Marie Meyer Murphy, 91, of Apison, died on Monday, July 14, 2014. Marie was preceded in death by her husband Wayne and her sister, Jean Meyer Allen. She is survived by her four daughters, Gayle (Jody) Whisenant, Sharon (Hartly) Varnell, Laura (Stuart) Ellis, and Lisa (Michael) Cline. Maries greatest joy was her family, and she and Wayne were blessed with 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at Apison United Methodist Church at 1 p.m. today, July 22, with Rev. Debbie Stokes officiating. Interment will be in Plowman Cemetery in Apison. Visitation will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Apison United Methodist Church, 4404 Bill Jones Road, Apison, TN 37302.
