Lydia Rothberger

Lydia Porter Rothberger, 90, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, in Venice, Fla. She is preceded in death by husband, Fred Rothberger Jr.; parents, Augustus P. and Mabel V. Porter; and brother, A. Putnam Porter. She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Steve) Vento, Parkland, Fla., Janet Rothberger Daniel, LaFayette, Ga., Nancy (Jeff) Vandegrift, Venice, Fla.; four grandchildren, Meg Giffen, Fort Myers, Fla., Rob Giffen, Akron, Ohio, Matthew Prince (Amanda), LaFayette, Ga., Leslie Prince, LaFayette, Ga.; and one great-grandchild, Liam Prince, LaFayette. She lived most of her life in Chattanooga, moving to Venice, Fla., eight years ago where she was lovingly cared for by daughter, Nancy and son-in-law Jeff. She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church and Northside Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the funeral home.
