Johnny Scroggins

Johnny Rubin Scroggins, 64, of Chattanooga went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was of the Church of God faith. He was previously employed with Miller Industries as a Welder and an Assembler for more than 40 years and enjoyed working in the yard and going to Flea Markets. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers. Survivors include his loving wife and friend of more than 39 years, Arlene Goins Scroggins, of Chattanooga; children, Ricky (Tisha) Moore, of Chickamauga, Ga., John Scroggins, of Chattanooga, and Lori Scroggins of Fort Oglethorpe; brother and sister-in-law, L.C. (Tina) English, of Rossville; sisters and brother-in-law, Leola Corley, of Red Bank, Patricia Sutherland, of East Ridge, Martha Ladd, of Rossville and Karen (Ed) Morris, of Florida; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, June 7, 2014, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Minister Bennie Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park.
