Phillip Bayston

Phillip Edward Bayston, 66, of Chattanooga, died on May 6, 2014. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Chattanooga and a member of the Alert Bible Class. He is survived by his sisters, September and Cindy Young. He was previously employed as a prison guard and a security guard. A defining point in his life was a trip to South Africa. He was a avid gun collector and enthusiast. He was also a member of the Pachyderm Club of Chattanooga. Phillip was a unique type of person. He had no enemies but many friends who will miss him. Upon his request his body was donated to science. A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, McEwen Chapel, at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Chattanooga, 401 Gateway Ave. 37401.
