Avis King

Avis Yvonne King, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at her residence in Milledgeville, Ga. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jimmie Reid; brother, Michael Reid; and sister, Crystal Reid. Survivors include her husband, Roy Lee King Jr.; daughters, Adrienne Lea King, Crystal Renee King, and Royelle Michelle King, all of Milledgeville; father, Thaddeus Reid, Sr.; brother, Thaddeus Reid Jr.; sister, Sharon (Nathaniel) Whitaker, all of Chattanooga; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. The body will lie in state Monday, June 9, at 12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Olivet Baptist Church, with Pastor Kevin Adams Sr. as the eulogist.
