Patsy Allen

Patsy Eloise Crytz Allen, 83, of Chattanooga, died on Friday, June 6, 2014. She was born in Hickory, N.C., on December 16, 1930, to William Jackson Crytz and Ruth Leona Guthrie Crytz. She grew up in Charlotte, N.C., before relocating with her family to Chattanooga in the 1940s where she graduated from Central High School, Class of 1949. She later worked for Erlanger Hospital and TVA. She was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Pat enjoyed reading, traveling, family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Priscilla Dean Scott of Atlanta. Survivors are her husband of 64 years, Robert Lewis Allen Sr., of East Ridge; sister, Mary Ann Stilwell of Houston, Texas; children, Robert Lewis (Debbie) Allen Jr., East Ridge, William Kyle Allen, East Ridge, Katy Ruth (Chris) Howard, St. Petersburg, Fla., Paul Crytz Allen, Ringgold, Ga.; as well as 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today, June 8, at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 9, at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Atwood officiating.
