Dr. William Gladys

Elder Dr. William T. Gladys transitioned from earth to glory on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Elder Gladys was the pastor of the historic St. Bartley P.B. Church, Huntsville, Ala. Loving survivors include: wife, Bobbie Toney Gladys, Harvest; sons, Elder Nicholas H. (Antionette) Gladys, Huntsville, Ala., Christopher L. Gladys, Atlanta; stepgranddaughter, Reagan Pickett, Huntsville; brother, Edward Gladys, Triana, Ala.; four sisters, Geraldine Turner, Madison, Ala., Mary Jean (Marvin) Williams, Huntsville, Patricia Shackleford (Herbert) Gray, Chattanooga, and Annie Ruth (James) Pendleton, Huntsville; mother-in-law, Mary Toney, Chattanooga; brother-in-law, Calvin Toney, Chattanooga; three sisters-in-law, Elaine Ingram, Harvest, Ala., Mary Louise Toney and Carolyn Denson, both of Chattanooga; the St. Bartley P.B. Church family, other relatives and friends. A service in memory of Elder Gladys will be 6 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at St. Bartley Primitive Baptist Church (3020 Belafonte Ave., Huntsville, Ala.) Celebration of Life Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014, at St. Bartley P.B. Church with Dr. Bernard C. Yates officiating. Entombment will be in Meadowlawn Garden of Peace.
