Bertha Robbs

Bertha Gass Robbs, 102, of Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at a Franklin, Tenn., care facility. She was born in Dade County, Ga., to the late William C. Gass and Caldona Graham Gass. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland Robbs, grandsons, Britt Morris and Scott Morris; eight other brothers and sisters. She was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ at the East Lake Church and Greens Lake Road Church Survivors include two daughters Virginia Jo (Jim) McAlister, of Nashville, and Maxine (Fred) Morris, of Ellijay, Ga.; son Edward E.(Belinda) Robbs, of Argyle, Texas; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014 in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Minister Reid Perry and Minister Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:30-5:30 p.m. today and from 1-2 p.m. Monday.
