Cleo P. Campbell

Cleo P. Campbell, 89, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014. She was a member of South Whitwell Baptist Church and retired from Marion County Board of Education. Cleo was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe H. Powell; second husband, William Campbell; parents, Riley and Minnie Pickett; daughter, Joanna Evans; son, Corey Campbell; grandson, Paul "Little Bit" Evans; sisters, Tula Mae Coppinger and Helen Billingsley; brother, Donald Pickett. Those left to cherish her memories are her two sons, Hershel (Darylene) Powell of Whitwell and Glenn (Patsy) Powell of Mobile, Ala.; sisters, Juanita Scott and O'dell (Dank) Moore both of Michigan; brother, Ernest (Sue) Pickett of Whitwell; grandchildren, Sandra (Victor) Crabtree, Joey Powell, Stephanie (Nathan) Smith, Dawn Carson and Shea (David) Binder; 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 5-9 p.m. CDT today, June 15 and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. CDT Monday, June 16, 2014. Funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev Buddy Strickland officiating. Interment to follow at Red Hill Cemetery.
