Richard Higgins

David Richard "Dog" Higgins, 65, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014. He was of the Church of God Faith. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mary Nell Higgins; and a brother, Lawrence Higgins Jr. He is survived by his two sons, David (Sandy) Wilkey and Andru Calkmire; his daughter, Misty Croft; his five sisters, Audrey Pickett, Gail (John) Luttrell, Lorene (Marvin) Laymon, Carol (Sammy) Laymon and Ellen (Randy) Mikel; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be 3 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve White officiating. Burial will follow in Poe Cemetery.
