Harold Goff

Harold Wayne Goff, 65, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014. He spent most of his life in the Rossville area and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War serving in the 1st Battalion 9th Marines where he earned a purple heart. Harold enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his group of friends and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward Goff and Betty Joe Ake; daughter, Stephanie Goff; brothers, Pete Goff and Jimmy Goff. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Goff; children, Dawn (Steve) Shavers, of Ringgold and Jon (Tonee) Goff, of Fort Oglethorpe; stepdaughter, Lisa (Chris) Kenny, of Rossville; brother, Michael Moore, of Alabama; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. today and prior to the service on Wednesday. Arrangements by W.L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
