Charity Pickett

Charity Renee Pickett, 37, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Venease Curtis; grandfather, Bennie Smith; grandparents, Varlin and Mary Ruth Brock. Charity was employed by Erlanger Medical Center and was a member of Whitwell Worship Center. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Virgil "Toby" Pickett Jr.; children, Cody M. Pickett and Victoria D. Pickett, all of Whitwell; father, Varlin Curtis; brothers, Bennie Curtis and Bobby James Curtis, all of Pikeville; grandmother, Ethel Smith, of Dunlap; mother and father-in-law, Virgil and Dianne Pickett, of Whitwell; sister-in-law, LaManda and Wesley Chapman; special aunt, Sue Green; nieces, Allenia and Venease Curtis; nephews, Bo Curtis and Daron Curtis; and several cousins. Family will receive friends 11 a.m.-9 p.m. today, June 20, 2014. Funeral service 4 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Sherra Turner and Rev.
