Freda Higdon

Freda Gertrude Higdon, 62, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Ms. Higdon was preceded in death by her father, Harry Lee Chappelear; brothers, Gary and Byron Chappelear; sister, Pat Cagle. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Scotty McBryar, Wendy and Phillip Smith, Tonya and Aaron West, Ericka and Brandon Horton; 11 grandchildren, Morgan, Hallie, Grenlee, Mason, Atlas, Blaine, River, Lake, Creek, Rayne, Chevy; mother, Pauline Chappelear; sister, Barbara Hicks; brothers, James and Frank Chappelear; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. EDT Saturday, June 21, 2014, in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Todd Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Higdon Cemetery.
