James Temples

LaFAYETTE James K. Temples passed into paradise on Monday, June 16, 2014, thanks to his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was born on Sept. 4,1921 in Jakin, Ga and moved to Lafayette, Ga., in 1956, where he worked in several hosiery mills and at Barwick Mills for many Years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Betty Johnson Temples; and his youngest son, Cliff Temples. He is survived by sons, Ron Temples (Jan), of Marietta, Ga., Craig Temples (Mary), of Ringgold, Ga.; grandchildren, Aron Temples (Shannon) of Simpsonville, S.C., Angela Brandt (Donnie), of Ringgold, Ga., James C. Temples of LaFayette; two great-grandchildren, Christina and Caroline Temples. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 22, 2014, at the Cross Connection Assembly of God Church, 705 N. Main St. LaFayette, Ga., with Pastor Chris Spears and Alan Braswell officiating. Private interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends at the church on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Georgia District Assemblies of God, 6330 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210. The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
