Otis Cantrell

Otis Richard Cantrell, 71, of Signal Mountain, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday afternoon, June 19, 2014. Otis was a devoted and loving husband and father. He was born in Cedartown, Ga., and was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Idelle Cantrell, of Cedartown. He lived in Chattanooga most of his adult life, was a long time business owner and most recently the owner/operator of Chattanooga Wholesale Trucks. He enjoyed going to work, tinkering on old cars, being with friends, being outdoors, and going on adventures in his RV. He loved getting together with their family most of all. He was of Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife, Susan; daughters, Rhonda (Joel) Cantrell Duncan, of Hixson, Melinda Cantrell, of Atlanta; stepson, Stephen Jenkins; stepdaughter, Amy Jenkins Medley; stepdaughter, Julie Seyler and her children, Amanda and Brandon, of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandsons, Jacob and Spencer Jenkins, Myles Medley; brothers, Tom (Elaine) Cantrell, of Lake Creek, Ga., and Porter Cantrell, of Nashville, sisters, Brenda (JuDon) Baldwin, of Lake Creek, Ga., and Connie (Randy) Rimes, of Mableton, Ga. Otis was deeply loved by family and friends and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2014, with Rev. Barry Hildebrandt officiating. The interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
