Anna Hunter

Anna "Doll" Reynolds Hunter, 67, a native of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at Life Care Center of Red Bank. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Davison Reynolds and Anna Morphew Reynolds; and late husband, Rick Hunter. She is survived by her three children, Michael Price, of Knoxville, Lauren Price and Gabriel Hunter, both of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Aleah and James Davison Price; brothers Mercer Reynolds, of Greensboro, Ga., and Chuck Reynolds, of Cincinnati, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. Anna was a 1964 graduate of the Girls Preparatory School (GPS) Chattanooga and a graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She loved music, writing, and teaching. She wrote satire for the Knoxville News Sentinel in the early. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Chaplain Christy Bonner of Hospice of Chattanooga officiating. The family extends heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Life Care Center of Red Bank and Hospice of Chattanooga for their compassionate care of Anna. Special thanks are also extended to her GPS classmates for their care, concern, and visits during Annas illness. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made to a charitable organization.
