Lamar Bristol Sr., 68, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014, in a local health care facility. He was a graduate of Howard High School. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Lamar retired from Mueller Company and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Jessie Parker; and mother, Ellen Louise Bristol. Survivors include son, Lamar Bristol Jr.; daughters, Stacey Marie Bristol, Danielle (Devilla) Tucker, Cherilyn Bryant, Tracy (Kevin) Conley, Stacey (Geoff) Herman, Donna LaKisha Chambliss, and Deirdra LaTasha Chambliss; grandchildren, Xavier Bryce Stanley, Kimari LeShay Bristol, Tamari Bristol, DeVilla Braylon Daniel Tucker, Raegyn, Ryan, Reid Conley, Airyelle, Amarii Belle, Gaas Herman, Dequanna Lacy, Donnesha Williams, Marshall Brown Jr. and Charlie Bell Jr.; sisters, Lois McKibben, Johnnie McElvain, and Ann Rose Easter; brothers, Robert Sims, Marvin Sims, Bobby (Joyce) Parker, Edward (Sandra) Parker, and Melvine (Williema) Parker; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation is today from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Reverend Dr. Charles Holsey as the eulogist. Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
