Ruth G. Case, 103, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014. Mrs. Case was born in Allgood, Tenn., was a member of St. Elmo Methodist Church and owned Ruths Beauty Shop in St. Elmo for 39 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor J. Case; and parents, Ed and Tappy Green. Surviving are her daughter, Patty (Rodney) Moore, of Chattanooga; grandson, David Moore, of Ocala, Fla.; granddaughter, Lisa (Brian) Dean, of Scott Depot, W.Va.; four great-grandchildren; two nieces, Toni Munsey and Teresa Dill; and nephew, Michael Green. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the funeral home followed by a 1 p.m. funeral service with Rev. Brian Dean officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Hills Cemetery. The family would like to thank her caregivers, Mary Rose Yarnell, Becky Cochran, Cecilia Daniels and Pat Duty; and St. Barnabas Health Care for the loving care she received.
